R/V Atlantic Explorer begins transmitting near-real-time data to SAMOS

07/23/2010On 23 July, R/V Atlantic Explorer became the first UNOLS vessel to operationally transmit near-real-time MET/TSG data to the SAMOS (Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System) data assembly center under the R2R program. Explorer joins fellow UNOLS vessels Atlantis, Knorr, and Oceanus in transmitting data to SAMOS.
